Why We Plant Trees

At Secure Haven Urns & Keepsakes, we strive to sell high quality memorial products at an affordable price, but we also think it is important to take care of the planet while we’re at it. Not just to offset our CO2 emissions, but also to contribute to the regrowing of wildlife habitats and raising awareness.

Being a company operating mainly online, we knew that shipping our products wasn’t going to be great for the planet. Society’s shift towards shopping online is taking its toll on our planet, so we wanted to make a positive contribution while involving our customers in the process.

That is why we will plant one tree with every purchased item at our store. We have now partnered up with Tree-Nation, an organisation dedicated to fighting climate change.

Our Secure Haven Forest

Through Tree-Nation, we are now supporting two amazing reforestation projects, the Usambara Biodiversity Conservation in Tanzania, and the Eden Project in Madagascar.

These projects are vital in helping to restore forests, create jobs, support local communities and protect biodiversity – all while helping to offset our carbon footprint.

Now, you can be involved in these projects too, by purchasing on our online store.

What do I do next?

So you’ve made a purchase or are thinking of making a purchase at our store, fantastic!

After you’ve placed your order you will first receive a confirmation email from us about your order, with a receipt of your purchase. You will also receive a separate email with the title ‘Secure Haven Urns & Keepsakes Ltd offered you a tree on Tree-Nation.’

For every purchased item at our store, we will plant 1 tree (example: 5 brass urns = 5 trees). If you do not see it in your inbox, please check under promotions or your spam inbox.

1) You will receive an email that looks the same as above, with a link to ‘Plant Your Tree(s)’

2) This link will take you to a page that looks like the above

3) You’ll get confirmation that you’ve planted your tree and a chance to say thanks!

4) If you scroll down, you can see the location and some extra info about your tree

5) You can even download and print your own tree certificate, for pride of place on the mantle!

6) Take a look at our forest to check out our progress against climate change!
